I don’t have biological sisters. My only child is a boy. Yet I will be celebrating Sister’s Day this Sunday. Why? I have a handful of amazing women friends who I consider “sisters.”
Here’s what sister means to me:
S – Speaks to you not at you
I – Interested and interesting
S – Shares all thoughts (even the wacky and ones most women just think but are too afraid to share), dreams and concerns
T – Trust is reciprocated
E – Excited when you are
R – Rah, rahs when you are feeling nah, nah
S – Stands by, for and with you no matter what
