A Celebration of Women’s History in the Workplace
March is an opportunity to celebrate the women around us and recognize their hard work to advance women in the workplace. It has been documented that companies that have women in various levels of the organization experience higher revenue and profit, greater innovation, increased employee engagement, productivity and commitment. Significant advancements happen when people from a diverse set of backgrounds work together.
Please take a moment to express your gratitude to the women in your life, recognizing their contributions to our society and the workplace. Here are a few advancements we are recognizing and celebrating this month:
From the People Act in 1920, UN adopting the Women’s Bill or Rights in 1979 to Lily Ledbetter’s Fair Pay Act and 2.7 million women wanting to start a business in 2016 women have been advocating and advancing our workplaces for the better and we are grateful.
Women’s history is important to everyone because we all have women in our lives. Our mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, and nieces contribute to women’s history in their own special way. The advances of women have led to a better society and should be celebrated!
