Doughnut Burgers: Not So Good Afterall

It was announced last week that a certain TV chef known as the queen of old-fashioned homestyle cooking, has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Wow. This is serious stuff.

So let’s lay it out on the kitchen table.

Good ole down home cooking, high in fats and sugar, and consisting primarily of meat, and dairy is detrimental to your health. Perhaps you doubted this statement, until now, where we have documented, living proof. We’ve watched this celebrity eat this way every single day on air. Touting this lifestyle as a fun, carefree way of living. Guess what? It’s not.

Don’t get me wrong. I love comfort food as much as the next person. However, we must not adopt these habits as a way of life. Your quality of life truly depends upon it.

An easy way to start:

No fried foods. Period. They are highly acidic (an environment that cancer cells love). And they are high in fat.

Add one extra fresh vegetable per meal. Crowd out the bad with more good.

The best way to prevent and even cure type 2 diabetes is not with a pill.

It is with your fork.
