Internal Communications Manager | Dallas/DFW Metroplex | Contract, HybridDo you love bringing order to chaos? This is a chance to walk into a Total Rewards team that's ready for someone to take the wheel, and shape how a major employer talks to its workforce about the benefits and programs that matter most to them.
About the opportunity
A well-known transportation company, known for its great culture, is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join its Total Rewards team on a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role: part communications, part project management. You'll help update and consolidate benefits and Total Rewards content across the intranet and vendor portals, and you'll manage the campaigns and initiatives that keep employees informed as new programs and providers roll out. Writing isn't the main event here. You'll be the one in the room gathering input, wrangling feedback, building the plan, and making sure it gets done.
What you'll do
- Join stakeholder meetings, not just take direction from them
- Build project plans, stakeholder maps, timelines, and milestones for a content consolidation effort spanning intranet and vendor portal content
- Drive execution on Total Rewards campaigns, including new provider rollouts and other key initiatives
- Collect edits and feedback from subject matter experts and incorporate them into drafts
- Manage multiple workstreams and deliverables end to end, keeping stakeholders aligned and on schedule
- Bring structure to content that's currently spread across multiple platforms
- 5+ years in internal communications and/or project management; candidates with 2-3 years and a strong project management track record will also be considered
- Experience with health benefits or retirement programs strongly preferred; broader HR/People experience considered with a solid communications background
- Comfortable managing projects independently, proactive, and execution-focused
- Strong Excel skills required; experience with Microsoft Project a plus
- Comfortable in stakeholder meetings, gathering and synthesizing input rather than working from a finished brief
- Contract position (6 months)
- Hybrid: 3 days on-site per week, DFW Metroplex candidates only
- Flexible hours; no fixed start or end time
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
