If you're the biller attorneys call when an invoice absolutely has to go out right the first time, keep reading. A global law firm with an established Dallas office is adding a Legal Billing Specialist to its Billing team. You'll own the entire invoice process, from prebill edits to e-bill submission to appeals, and you'll work closely with attorneys who count on your judgment. It's also a firm that wants its people to get comfortable with AI tools, a great way to keep your skills up.

About the Opportunity
Our client is a large, international law firm known for a collaborative, forward-looking culture. This role sits in the Dallas office and reports to the Billing Manager. You'll handle a high volume of complex client invoices, keep every bill compliant with each client's billing guidelines, and be the person who spots a problem before it becomes a rejection. Strong communicators do well here, because much of the job is working with attorneys, clients, and administrative staff to get things right.

What You'll Do

Edit prebills in Prebill Viewer and Aderant based on requests from billing attorneys
Generate a high volume of complex client invoices in Aderant
Make sure every invoice follows client billing guidelines and has the required supporting documentation
Submit e-bills through EHub, with all supporting materials
Monitor and quickly resolve invoice rejections, reductions, and appeals
Respond to billing inquiries from attorneys and clients
Take on special projects and ad hoc reports as needed
Attend onsite trainings and occasional business travel as needed

What We're Looking For
Must haves

3+ years of experience as a legal biller
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
Strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
Clear, professional communication, written and verbal
A proactive approach to identifying billing issues and proposing solutions
Flexibility to work overtime during busy periods

Nice to haves

Experience with Aderant or Elite/3E
Familiarity with Prebill Viewer, E-billing Hub, and Bill Blast
Comfort using AI tools like Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT (or a willingness to learn), with good judgment about accuracy and data privacy
