• CPA license is required
• 4-5 years of public accounting experience working with SEC clients or 4-5 years working in a manufacturing company managing the SEC reports and financials.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

• Manage full-cycle accounting functions. 
  • Must be able to adapt to accounting and financial strategies to enhance the reconciliation process, including using data driven platforms to streamline accounting processes
  • Drive ad-hoc reporting efforts for multiple entities to create congruent closing standards and procedures
  • Be proactive in analyzing current accounting procedures and utilizing system and software knowledge to initiate cost saving projects

• Efficient in analyzing financial and accounting data for development of a more automated closing process
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations by maintaining accurate records.
• Handle all financial transactions, including accounts receivable/payable, payroll, general ledger entries, and balance credit card accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for internal review on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Oversee check deposits, bank transfers, funds wires, and manage cash flow requirements ensuring accuracy.
• Conduct budget preparations, analyses, and forecasts to maintain financial health.
• Work toward achieving key performance indicators (KPIs)

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred. 
• Proven experience in accounting, especially within a B2B environment.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced Excel/SQL knowledge
  • Power BI is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of GAAP-compliant accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks in a small office setting.

Your primary responsibilities will be –

• Handling the day-to-day policies and procedures ensuring that the property is well-managed and well maintained
• Respond and resolve all tenant requests positively and promptly assigning any required work orders to the maintenance team
• Managing all payables in Yardi Payscan, collecting rent, handling AR, maintaining lease files, assisting with monthly financial reports, operating budgets, and expense reconciliations
• Assist controller with preparation of monthly financial reports
• Budget preparation

What you’ll bring with you –

• 5 years of commercial real estate property management experience with at least 2 years in office, industrial, and/or retail portfolios
• Travel out of in/out of state required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
• Self-motivation with desire to excel at customer service
• Working towards an RPA, CPM, CMCP or CCIM Designation a plus as well as having your state real estate license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
• Solid understanding of property management software; Yardi preferred
• Understanding that you will be on call 24/7 and available to work when after hours as necessary
