IT Specialist II
Are you the go-to tech problem solver among your friends? Do complex systems and hands-on troubleshooting spark your curiosity? Our client, a growing McKinney-based software and services company for engineering design, is looking for an energetic and resourceful IT professional to be the backbone of their technology operations! As a key team member, you’ll keep our business running smoothly, ensure seamless access to tools and systems, and make an impact every single day.

What You’ll Do:
  • Set up and support hardware essentials (think monitors, keyboards, printers, laptops) for our staff, ensuring everyone’s ready to hit the ground running.
  • Technical Assistance: Deliver top-notch technical support—on the phone, in-person, or online. Troubleshoot issues and provide friendly, clear guidance to colleagues of all backgrounds.
  • Operating systems: Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, essential business applications, networking components, and office productivity suites.
  • Networks and servers: Administer and monitor our networks and servers, oversee security protocols, and keep systems available and safeguarded—because uptime and safety go hand in hand.
  • Projects: Work with teams to understand their IT needs, supporting new projects, deployments, and day-to-day troubleshooting.
  • Infrastructure: Take the lead in managing our Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure environments. Plan, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure services from concept to execution.
  • Automation: Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (like Terraform) to streamline provisioning and maintenance for greater scalability and efficiency.
  • Diagnostics: Dive deep into scripts, integrations, and system configurations to resolve issues fast.
  • Operations: Coordinate with vendors, manage licensing, support agreements, and source technology that moves us forward.
  • Insights & Analytics: Track and analyze help desk metrics, share support reports, and recommend improvements that raise the bar for everyone.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation, develop policies, and craft training materials to empower end users to make the most of our tech.

Who You Are:
  • A bachelor’s, associate degree, or IT-related certifications are a plus!
  • You bring at least 2 years' experience in an IT support role—your degree or certifications can count toward this, and we’ll review cases individually.
  • You have, or are working toward, Microsoft, Azure Cloud, or A+ certifications.
  • You’ve dabbled in automation, scripting, or integrations—and are excited to do more!
  • Service management tools are your jam—you’re methodical and responsive in tracking and closing support cases.
  • You know Microsoft Windows and Office products inside out.
  • You love learning and quickly adapt to new tools, systems, and apps.
  • You have sharp troubleshooting instincts and pay close attention to details.
  • Pressure? Deadlines? You handle them with poise and efficiency, always maintaining professionalism.
  • You’re a natural communicator, organized, customer-focused, and enjoy working with people at all levels.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:
Here, you’ll do more than “keep the lights on” for IT—you’ll play a vital role in keeping our business thriving, help shape the future of our tech landscape and enjoy opportunities to grow your skillset along the way.

Ready to make an impact and help shape our business’s tech success story? Apply now and become part of a forward-thinking, supportive team!
