The Role
You'll be a key partner to the attorneys in the estate and tax planning sections, keeping things running smoothly and ensuring every client interaction reflects the firm's standard of excellence. Your primary responsibilities will include:- Preparing, drafting, and revising legal documents
- Draft and revise documents including wills, trusts, correspondence, and Forms 706 & 709
- Manage calendars, deadlines, client files, billing memos, and attorney time entry
- E-file in Federal and State Courts and handle incoming calls and mail
- Proofreading all documents with a sharp eye for detail — grammar, spelling, and punctuation matter here
- Coordinating travel arrangements as needed
What You Bring
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant, with a focus on estate planning and probate a big plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience e-filing in Federal and State Courts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills — you communicate clearly, professionally, and warmly
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities without missing a beat
