Join our client’s Houston team as the Business Director, a pivotal position dedicated to setting the tone and culture of their professional environment. You'll play a vital role in orchestrating the daily flow of the office, collaborating closely with senior leadership and supporting the team of attorneys and professional staff.
What you will do:
- Be the cultural ambassador and work alongside the Managing Shareholder and senior leadership to actively cultivate a positive office culture and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
- Lead and coordinate all office operations, ensuring alignment with national department directors and provide strategic direction on multi-department initiatives.
- Proactively support the Managing Shareholder by anticipating needs, delivering concise information, and facilitating administrative processes.
- Develop and implement office-wide communication strategies and policies, ensuring transparency and adherence to firm standards.
- Oversee accounting and finance functions, including budget development, expense management, and revenue optimization.
- Partner with HR and talent acquisition teams to attract, retain, and nurture top-tier talent among attorneys and staff.
- Lead the annual staff compensation review process.
- Assist with the facilitation of the annual associate compensation review process led by the Managing Shareholders.
- Engage with marketing, technology, and facilities teams to enhance client services and address daily operational challenges.
- Play a key role in office expansion, renovation, and space management, ensuring efficient utilization and seamless transitions.

What you bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a management or leadership role within a professional services organization.
- Comprehensive experience in human resources, accounting, finance, marketing, technology, and facilities management.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Quick adaptability to new software applications and technological tools.
