We are working with a global law firm that is searching for a Legal Support Specialist in the Litigation Department of their downtown Houston office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to work with an outstanding team and provide legal support to six attorneys. You will also work both in the office and remotely depending on schedules and needs. In this role, you would provide a wide range of sophisticated technical, document processing and administrative services.

Additional critical responsibilities you would achieve include:

  • Coordinates the creation of legal documents as well as the editing, proofreading and processing upon request of assigned attorneys, including correspondence, memoranda, closing documents, pleadings, or other practice specific documents
  • Updates case information, scans and coordinates legal files
  • Manages document deliveries and tracks final completed documentation
  • Prioritizes calls for supported attorneys, fielding calls and conveying messages. Communicates with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and liaisons
  • Collaborates with Administrative Support Coordinators, Paralegals and other legal support team members where applicable
  • Assists with overflow work and other special projects as assigned

The successful candidate will be someone who has 6 or more years of demonstrated experience. They will have knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, and State and Federal Court filing including e-filings. In addition, we need someone who is skilled in handling administrative tasks such as attorney time entry, travel arrangements and processing invoices and expenses and should have high attention to detail, outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
