Supply Chain Manager
We have a terrific opportunity for a leader with a background in Supply Chain and Vendor Relations! Our Client is searching for an initiative-taking individual who wants to work for a well-established distributor within the building material industry as the Supply Chain Manager! You will play a key role in the company by leading all aspects of purchasing inventory, supplies, equipment, and services. You will also develop and implement effective purchase strategies to meet company goals and lead the Purchasing Department. This includes managing purchase orders, orders confirmations, and coordinating deliveries. Along with providing an in-depth analysis to support purchasing strategy. This role reports to the President of the company, has a competitive compensation and a full suite of benefits. Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Establish purchasing practices to ensure transparent, fair, and ethical relationships with vendors and coordinate the rebate strategy to guarantee the company is taking full advantage of efficient strategies including rebate offers.
- Manage vendor relationships to include negotiation discussions to ensure the company receives the best pricing and programs.
- Implement an automated purchase order module that determines purchase quantities based on historical sales velocities.
- Forecast upcoming levels of demand, while considering lead times.
Do I have your attention? Are you right individual for the role? We need to find the successful candidate who has 5 years of proven track record as a supervisor or manager, of Purchasing or similar relevant position in the building material industry. You will also have a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and strong supervisory and leadership skills.
