What you'll be doing:

  • Identifying, evaluating, and securing a pipeline of viable healthcare ground-up development projects and sites in the southeastern and western United States.

  • Analyzing market trends and healthcare industry dynamics to develop a robust business strategy and process.

  • Building, maintaining and growing relationships with healthcare system decision makers and other partners in the healthcare ecosystem while working hand in hand with a team of external parties including lenders, attorneys, architects, engineers, contractors, and others.

  • Securing and handling submissions for RFPs for the development of medical office buildings and other viable healthcare properties.

  • Providing leadership in shaping the future of healthcare development, staying abreast of industry trends and innovations.

  • Collaborating with other areas of the company to gain input on real estate development strategy and proactively build projects that reflect the company's mission, expertise, and risk tolerance.

What You Will Bring:

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in real estate, management or construction-related field required and a master’s degree is a plus.   You will also have in-depth knowledge of healthcare real estate with 5-10 years ground-up healthcare development experience including proven success in sourcing and closing.  To quickly make an impact in this role, you will need to also bring a robust network of healthcare system decision makers.  In addition, we need someone who can identify and assess market opportunities including location and demand projections, be a critical and objective thinker, have a strong willingness to mentor junior team members and bring experience handling development projects through challenges including economic downturns and healthcare system disruptions.
